Through a great blog that I visit regularly called Goodairs (written by Ian Scott Mount and Cintra, two American journalists living in Buenos Aires), arrived at the blog and Lake Bizarre Streaming and supreme post Cheto Are you or blitz? ( link below).
This is the outline of an article published in People on May 7, 1981 in which the magazine says that the "hot spots of Buenos Aires" finds "the two kinds of people that are new and the chetos blitz. Beyond these figures could be identified with the pseudo-cool and yuppies now, which are really bizarre are the characteristics of each:
To be a Cheto:
- Say two words every man,
- Standing on the corner of La Biela;
- Dress-style new wave;
- Be all day with the Walkman (!) In the ears;
- Have a fun and unusual (!)
To be a blitz:
- Use boots Texas;
- Take the champagne glasses of whiskey with ice (¡!);
- Having a car-stereo (¡!);
- Mixing foreign words in a conversation;
- Have the house decorated by Churba (!)
The truth is worth reading because everything is excellent and there are very good pictures (in the post are all the scanned pages). As additional stress on top of another title of this magazine: "The guys who are going to Argentina to Bolivia to study" (¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
