Through a very good blog that I visit regularly called Goodairs (written by Ian Mount and Cintra Scott, two American journalists living in Buenos Aires), arrived at the blog and its Lake Bizarre Streaming and its supreme post Cheto Are you or blitz? ( link below).
This is the outline of a note published in the People on May 7, 1981 in which the magazine says that the "hot spots of Buenos Aires" there are "two kinds of characters that are new: the brackets and blitz. " Beyond that these characters could be identified with the pseudo-cool and yuppies now, what we are really bizarre are the features of each:
To be a Cheto:
- Say two words every man,
- Standing on the corner of La Biela;
- Dress-style new wave;
- Being all day with a walkman (!) In the ears;
- Have fun, work or unusual (!)
To be a blitz:
- Using boots Texas;
- Take the champagne on ice with glasses of whiskey (¡!);
- Having a car-(¡!); stereo
- Mixing foreign words in a conversation;
- Have the house decorated by siros (!)
The truth is worth reading because everything is excellent and there are very good photos (in the post are all the scanned pages). As additional stress on top of another title of this magazine: "The guys that Argentines are going to study in Bolivia" (¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
