The night of the museums.

This Saturday is the annual event in which the museums in Buenos Aires are open till two o'clock, and on the official site of The Night of the Museums you can see all the scheduled activities.

I was sifting through the huge list and I made a selection. I must admit that in this, the final seat was a factor as the chance I feel great for being outdoors (and also in The Night of the Museums 2004 I went to the Center of Museums of Buenos Aires and I loved the place , Which btw is the photo).

Something colorful this year is that the event takes place the same day that the Nuit Blanche, the equivalent of Paris, where the capital of France is providing the streets to modern art. In short, my highlights are:

- Activities at the Center of Museums of Buenos Aires. Av. Italians of 851. In Limbo (cinema, at 20) / Projected images with live DJ's * (21). / Martin Buscaglia and Bochamakers * (recital, 0.30). / La Bomba Time * (recital, at 1) . / Kevin Johansen and The Nada * (recital, at 2). / Dj Villa Diamond, Dj Dany Nijensohn *.
I think, obviously, the best is going to be here.

- Recitals at the Monumental Tower. Av. Libertador 49. DJ Bad Boy Orange (at 20) / Monster (21) / Fantasmagoria (2130) / The police killed a motorized (2230) / Los Alamos (23) / Bicycle (2330) / DJ Bad Boy Orange (00).
Also known as the Tower of Immigrants, I love this place but I am not very fan of electronics.

- Five for Jazz Orchestra (1900 and 2130). Casa de la Cultura, Av. de Mayo 575.
I do not know this band jazz, but the House of Culture is located in the former building of the newspaper La Prensa, and I assume that the activities will be in a very cool basement that once went for an event.

- One night in the palace with classical music (from 19 to 1.30). Concert continued in the San Martin Palace (seat of the Foreign Ministry), Arenales 761.
If you do not know this place is a great opportunity to do so, if I remember correctly has a courtyard worthy of the Parisian buildings.

- The presence of German technology in Argentina (films of 19 to 2). Projections on facade with live music. Marq. Architecture Museum, Av. del Libertador 999 and Av. Callao.
Everything German is proving attractive to me, the Marq is a very nice building and is one of the most beautiful areas of Buenos Aires.

- Caligula, of Albert Camus, theater (0.30 to 2). Palais de Glace, Posadas 1725. Was suspended by rain.
It is close to where I think we are going to spend a lot of things. I do not know the work of Camus but something can never be wrong.

- Saxophone, quartet of saxophones. (at 21). Museum Líbero BADII, September 11 1990 (Glorieta de Plaza de Barrancas de Belgrano). In case of rain the activity is performed in the auditorium of the Museum.
Saxo + Plaza de Barrancas de Belgrano = very tempting.

- Observing the sky from the garden / The dome of the telescope (guided tour) / Observation of the sky with telescopes. In continued in the Observatory of the Argentine Association of Friends of Astronomy, Av. Patrician Argentinas 550. Was suspended in the event of a cloudy sky.
Mainly I see the stars is a nice program, although the location of this museum is a little contramano (it is in Centennial Park).

- Memotest giant (21 to 2). Memory Game, continued until 2. Museum School, Montevideo 950.
Also a bit off from where I be, but I feel funny the proposal.

Everything is marked with * was suspended by rain ...
Those who think giving many laps can print coupons for a free travel in a collective at the site of the event.

Yesterday it was almost impossible to enter MALBA, was full of people. Fell more than those who left. At 1:59 a.m. the 100 people stayed outside with the cold. It was nice to see people touring the museum, stops in the groups with free passes for free travel throughout the night.

Yes, the truth for me was a little disappointing the theme of the Center for Museums: my claustrophobia I am not allowed to stay to see Kevin because the number of people was intimidating. The Marq was quite poor, but I liked Recoleta Cultural Center. I agree that it was nice to see people in the streets and museums, but we should have planned better flow because there were some bottlenecks of people who were scared. Thanks for commenting!

pau hello!

we traveled (my 4 children included) for some of your suggestions ....
while the marq touches me closely, I agree with your comment ... lucia quite ascetic, but we saw a good dj or vj set, and it was nice of Gropius ..
Foreign Ministry directed to me .... A block and a half tail and a special queue for those who had a "number" (where he got ????) .... ... too cold. ... we went
Best of the Best Xul Solar ... ... .. many people, but not crazy .... lucia all very cool, the night he obviously feels very well at that location (away one of my favorite museums ....) at times seemed a Filming of movie ... all in one painting, photography ... wonderful.
passing through the tower of the English (I am 41, so I call it ...) and to take barbara scene was less than 30 alternative bands ... sounds interesting and easy ...
Finally, pasadita by Puerto Madero and direct the Center for Museums, and not get off, children asleep except my teenage daughter who wanted to see kevin, but ... lucia everything from the outside as some of the festival in Barcelona estiu ... ... butifarras lacking.

anyway ... I find it amazing that these things go .... always generate shaky collateral or provide an alternative perception, in this case as "passive" that may be going to a museum (discussion I had with my children before going and ... how well that went into the traveled ....)

as always, very good to his blog, Keep it up.

greetings.
fernando.

fernando hello! how good you've gone with your kids, I agree that it is very rich who pass these things and especially to share it with those guys, because they like it or not art, certainly they shoot things in his head. I did not know what the chancery, numbers? wow. I do not know the Xul Solar but I saw the photos should be pretty good, long time I feel like I go and re imagine what describís because the building is good.
He also went through the tower of the English and as such, the projection was excellent and the atmosphere, while the bands were not my favorite ...
Thanks for visiting the blog and share your experience, greetings!
