(Photo by the series of Collectibles Soledad Calvano) The world of advertising, with which I am connected through my work in LatinSpots, home to a lot of creative people from different backgrounds and not necessarily resigned to the commercial communication.
Surfing page of a renowned audiovisual production company called Landia I met with a series of photos that I fancy. Its author was Soledad Calvano, designer of image and sound that besides working in Landia has a project called decorative adhesive tape Stickman.
I had the pleasure of exchanging e-mails with Calvano and this is the result of the conversation.
BA Culturemix (BACM): - How is your career?, What did before arriving at Landia?
Soledad Calvano (SC): "I received at the University of Buenos Aires designer of Image and Sound. Working in Landia since 2002, I like the producer and space they give me. I worked at the Department of Art at more than 140 trade with the talented director Andy Fogwill, with whom we understand very well. Also working with Coty Larguia, whom I admire professionally.
BACM: - What do you enjoy working in advertising?
SC: "To me it's the best thing, I work with great energy and difruto. It's just my personality, because everything is constantly changing and there are things that resignificar. What yesterday was good today is in question, and I'm well, I love renewed, overcome and think. Advertising is multifunctional, that is the most attractive side to me. Constantemete learn how to do new things.
BACM: "Particularly, what are you doing in Landia?
SC: "A little bit of everything. I am a director of some commercial art, I take care of the website, and provided generous new things. Recently I created Linda, who is hosting a space where my stuff. Everything you think is nice there, that's a little idea. I am creating my Mundita, is a place for my mind.
BACM: - How come the pictures of sample collections?
SC:-One of the things I like most is to travel the world. I travel a lot, I love to watch and bag lots of pictures. I like to tour the cities on foot and go mind giving me all about it. For me art is totadas parts, one just need to have the ability to difrutarlo. The sample collection is a series of photos that attracted me aesthetically either by color, framing or her role. Clusters in series: Trie me, love the sea, Linda street collection, Sentite sentate, Religion Art and Beauty.
BACM: - What other projects you have?
SC: "In 2006 we created together with Jimena Chagas Stickman / tapes boutique. This is a new venture where we took the tapes packing as a support for our designs for a purpose other than the usual. Tapes are designed to decorate. The same can be purchased at Shop Malba, City Cultural Konex and Picnic, among others. On the other hand, in 2007 I participated in a chapter of the book The book of color harmony Landia. And I have projects million, the most immediate is a cultural magazine that I do finalized, with the idea of translating what is happening in Buenos Aires with art.
BACM: - What do you like most of the city?
SC: Buenos Aires has everything. It is a wonderful place, you have to walk everywhere and be discovered.
