Flor en la calle, por Jam343.

(Photo by Jam343) The number of events and interest in the environment that we saw in the last week because of Earth Day (festivals, art exhibitions, celebrity) makes me think about the first time when the consciousness Environmental put fashion in the United States. That thing you get from 'boring' and 'old' to talk about environmental responsibility and make it more light, digestible and appealing to people in general.

What followed in the country's north was a huge wave of blogs devoted to various aspects of "green" (from the actions of green celebrities until the green led to geeks), which exploded in 2006. Having born a year and half before, in mid-2004, TreeHugger was among the first blogs green and therefore had an advantage over the rest (which led him to be bought by Discovery). They were the first steps for its "green" became an industry giant.

Many years later, back in Buenos Aires in 2008, this movement of "modern ecology" (embodied in a note to Vanity Fair for years) seems to have arrived in the country, and that is why we anticipate that the wave of blogs and sites green in Spanish is to come. In Brazil, the editorial in April already has his bet with a sustainable planet. It is a matter of time before the vein is discovered by one of the major groups of Argentina (a few years ago he had proposed to Clarin Digital, and was on the way), as the interest of the people are.
