
(Photo: Inside the museum Eduardo Sivori.) Next May 18 is the International Day of Museums, and the General Directorate of Museums in Buenos Aires has determined that during that time, several museums will have free admission to visit the collections.
They will be open under this activity museums: Casa Carlos Gardel, Enrique Larreta Spanish Art, Art Hispanoamericano Isaac Fernandez Blanco of Modern Art in Buenos Aires (Palacio de Correos), Folk Art Jose Hernandez, Eduardo Sívori of Fine Arts, Sculptures Luis Perlotti, the City of Cinema Paul Ducrós Hicken and History of Buenos Aires Cornelio Saavedra.
My personal recommendation are the two I know, link up, but it is always nice to know a new venture.

-- Museo Casa Carlos Gardel (Jean Jaures 735, Abasto). It displays the cultural heritage and the citizen or `ra Gardel.
** Activity: Guided tours every hour between 10.00 and 19.00.
-- Art Museum Spanish Enrique Larreta (Av. Oath 2291, Belgrano). Located in which outside the house of writer Henry Larreta, who wanted to recreate a Renaissance palace Spanish shaping a collection of artworks and furniture centralized mainly in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. She holds an Andalusian garden of 5,980 square meters, one of the few of its kind that exist in the City. Their varied species of rumor and their sources make it a unique and special tour for visitors.
-- Art Museum Hispanoamericano Isaac Fernandez Blanco (Suipacha 1422, Withdrawal). It provides a comprehensive overview of the South American cultural fields, whose confluence contributed to the formation of the first identity argentina. Its headquarters is located in the Palais des Noel, whose neoclassical style is representative of the 1920's. Visitors can enjoy, in addition, the gardens of Spanish inspiration, a rare oasis in the Retiro neighborhood.

- Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires (Adolfo Alsina 963, Microcentro). It covers mainly the production of contemporary art argentina the decades of 1940,'50 and 60 and works in the international arena arriving until today. Is currently in the Palacio de Correos, which presents a good opportunity to learn about this remarkable building in Buenos Aires.

-- Museo de Arte Popular Jose Hernandez (Av. Libertador 2373, Palermo). It is the museum of artisans and crafts of the city. The building is a small-hotel with Italian and afrancesamiento elements. Its two parts are separated by a garden inside.
** Activities: Group Encuentracuentos (spectacle of storytelling).

- Museum of Fine Arts Eduardo Sívori (Av. Infanta Isabel 555 - compared to bridge the Rosedal - Park Tres de Febrero, Palermo). Specialized in Argentine art. Its heritage houses all tendencies that are part of the national plastic, especially those in the first half delsiglo XX. It has a very nice sculpture garden to sit in a coffee and listening trains pass.
** Activity: They were three one precipice (spectacle of storytelling for children up to 10 years). At 15.00.
The frames in photography and painting (for kids 6 to 12 years in charge of Agostina Gabanetta). At 16.00.

-- Museum of Sculpture Luis Perlotti (Provisional Headquarters: Av. Of 851 Italians, Costanera Sur). It aims at spreading the interest in sculpture and works of Perlotti, characterized by its thematic americanista. The building was occupied by the house - Argentine artist's workshop.
** Assets: How I discovered the dinamogramas? Dialogue with Prof. Cesar A. Fioravanti. Chat with public participation, such as closure of the exhibition of Engraving "Tribute to Prof.. Cesar A. Fioravanti. " At 17.00.
-- Museo de la Ciudad (Defence 219 / 223. Alsina 412, San Telmo). Its mission is to collect the history of Buenos Aires, its inhabitants, their customs, their architecture and the experiences of Buenos Aires and those who passed through Buenos Aires.
-- Museum of Cinema Paul Ducrós Hicken (Jose Salmún Feijóo 555). It is the only one in the country dedicated to Argentine cinema and a pioneer of its kind in Latin America.
-- Historical Museum in Buenos Aires Cornelio Saavedra (Crisólogo Larralde 6309, Saavedra). It provides an approach to the everyday life of the city of Buenos Aires during the nineteenth century and the major political, social and economic times. It is located in the neighborhood of Saavedra, in which the ranch outside of Luis Maria Saavedra, built around 1870.
** Assets: Stories of water. At 16.00.
